Welcome to vita doula!
At Vita Doula, I offer compassionate, bespoke Doula support to help you feel nurtured, confident and deeply cared for throughout your pregnancy, birth and your transition into a new stage of motherhood. Whether you are a first time mother, or growing your family, every journey is unique and every mother deserves to be listened to, supported and cared for.
I understand that every woman experiences pregnancy, birth and motherhood differently and I adapt my support to suit your individual personality, preferences and needs and provide a service that is bespoke to you.
There are a number of reasons why having a Doula can be a hugely positive addition to your birth experience. If you choose to birth in hospital, I will help to buffer any potential stressful hospital environments. I will be there with you continuously during your labour, offering reassurance, emotional support and practical comfort measures while helping you feel informed and supported in your choices. If you choose a home birth then I will be there to help create a calm and reassuring environment and support both you and your birth partner. However you choose to birth your baby, my role is to support you and help you feel confident and cared for throughout. Of course, births don’t always go to plan! Whatever happens I will be there with you, offering the continuity of care that makes such a huge difference to your birth experience.
My care extends beyond birth, supporting your recovery, so you can embrace motherhood feeling rested, radiant and connected to your baby. In the early days and weeks, postnatal Doula support can provide a helping hand as you recover and find your rhythm as a new or growing family. My aim is to provide practical, emotional and informational help, make you feel cared for, and more like yourself as you settle into motherhood. We were never meant to do this alone!
